Little Venice & Wine Diva Hold First Event

The Little Venice and Wine Diva’s Jo-rena Davis recently held an event at the Little Venice Wine Bar featuring a “sampling of carefully selected Italian wines.”

A spokesperson said, “Earlier this month, the Little Venice and Wine Diva’s Jo-rena Davis held their first event in the Little Venice Wine Bar. The evening featured a sampling of carefully selected Italian wines including a very fine Sangiovese from Tuscany considered to be among the top 1% of wines in the world.

“Guests sampled three different Italian wines that were the carefully paired with canapés to accentuate and heighten the experience. Ms. Davis’ knowledge as a Wine & Spirit Education Trust [WSET] Level 4 candidate, plus her enthusiasm, added to the excitement of the evening.

“Only a handful of people hold this prestigious designation in Bermuda.”

Ms. Davis said, “Our first event couldn’t have been held at a better place in Bermuda.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Little Venice Group and the idea is to eventually expand beyond the Little Venice restaurant to other amazing restaurants in the group and create new experiences for guests.”

Executive Chef Danny Lim said, “We are celebrating our 50th anniversary of the Little Venice restaurant, so this partnership seemed a perfect way to help us celebrate. We have other experiences planned for our 50th, but this was a great way to kick off the celebrations.”

The spokesperson said, “The wine previews will be held monthly at the Little Venice Wine Bar and the next wine preview is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. The cost is $75 per person and seating is limited so if interested, email info@lv.bm for more information.

“Guests can also take advantage of a special chef’s menu following the tasting at a reduced price of $65 per person, plus gratuities.
