BHS Announces 2020/2021 I/GCSE Cohort
The Bermuda High School [BHS] has announced the results of its 2020/2021 I/GCSE cohort, with the final grades awarded using the teachers’ predicted grades, and coursework that was moderated.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda High School [BHS] has announced the results of its 2020/2021 I/GCSE cohort. Due to Covid-19, no students were able to sit their final exams and the final grades were awarded using the teachers’ predicted grades and coursework that was moderated.

“99.6% of all I/GCSE grades awarded to BHS students this year were A*-C or the equivalent. The percentage of A* and A grades or Levels 9-7 awarded to BHS girls was 72%. This is well-above the 28.9% achieved by all students in the UK and the 33.4% achieved by girls in girls-only schools in the UK [JCQ 2021]. 49% of all the IGCSE grades achieved by BHS girls this year were A* or Levels 9-8.
Head of School, Mrs. Linda Parker stated, “Our I/GCSE students achieved outstanding results. Although Covid-19 disrupted their education for another year, this cohort of students rose to the challenge. We are so proud of all of our Year 11 students for their resilience and determination to succeed. Each of them took responsibility for their work and focused on achieving their own personal targets. I thank our supportive and hard-working teachers for their unwavering commitment and dedication to helping our students reach their highest potential.”
