New Year’s Day Harness Pony Racing Results
Harness pony racing action took place on New Year’s Day, with a number of races being held.
Simsfield Hardtimes with Kirista Rabain in the bike clocked the season’s fastest time when they clocked 1:02&1, which came in the last race of the day, with War Machine finishing second in 1:03&4. The same pair put on a show the first time on the track, as they needed a photo finish to decide the winner with both ponies clocking 1:03 flat; again Simsfield Hardtimes with Kirista Rabain in the bike were declared he winners.
Kirista Rabain was keeping things on the track exciting in the bike of Special Gold during Heat 4 in the 1:03&4 & Faster Time Bar Class. They clocked a time of 1:05&2, which was the same time as Itsallaboutme with Kayla Caldwell in the bike. Rabain and Special Gold were declared the winners.
Spectators had just settled into their seats when the first lot of excitement took place with a three way tie in Heat 1, which was the 1:03/4 & Faster Time Bar Class. Andrea Westerfield in the bike of Reel Patrol was declared the winner with a time of 1:04&2; Google Me with Tyler Lopes in the bike was second with the same time; and Candyce Martins in the bike of Double Time was third with the same time.
