Joseph & Stableford Complete SIO Course
Detective Chief Inspector Sherwin Joseph and Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stableford completed a two-week Senior Investigation Officers course held in the British Virgin Islands.
A police spokesperson said, “Detective Chief Inspector, Sherwin Joseph, who is in charge of the Specialists Investigations Department and Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stableford who heads up the Serious Crime Department, recently attended and completed a two-week Senior Investigation Officers [SIO] course, held in the British Virgin Islands and delivered by Agencia Ltd, UK.
“The programme, which was funded by the United Kingdom, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, is part of a Bermuda Police Service initiative, aimed at continuous development of investigators.
“The programme included aspects of the development of investigative strategies, crime scene preservation and ‘Golden Hour’ principles.
“The ‘Golden Hour’ is the term used to describe the period immediately after an offence has been committed, when there is a high volume of investigative material readily available to police.”
