March 16, 2022

Footballers in both the Shield and Friendship Trophy were recently in action, with Hamilton Parish and Robin Hood both earning wins.

Shield: Vasco 2 Hamilton Parish 3

Hamilton Parish stayed on course to do the First Division double as they came from behind to defeat Vasco 3 – 2 at the Devonshire Recreation Club.

Vasco took the lead in the 25th minute when Kyle Hamilton scored but in the 41st minute Hamilton Parish drew level when Jordan Outerbridge found the back of the net, the teams went to the break level at 1 – 1.

In the 53rd minute, Vasco went ahead again, with Hamilton finding the back of the net for the second time in the match, but seven minutes later Hamilton Parish would equalize with Macquille Walker scoring.

Just when it looked as if the match would need extra time Outerbridge scored his second goal of the game and the winner in the 89th minute.

Friendship: Devonshire Colts 0 Robin Hood 1 – After Extra Time

It took more than 113 minutes to separate Robin Hood and the Devonshire Colts at the Devonshire Recreation Club in this Friendship Trophy match.

Neither team was able to break the deadlock in regulation time sending the game to extra-time.

The teams were still deadlocked at the end of the first period of extra-time, just when it seemed as if the game would be decided on Kicks from the Penalty Mark, Matthew Fullerton had other ideas scoring for Robin Hood to earn them the win.
