Ariel Re Staff Help To Clean Up Southlands Park

June 27, 2022

Staff from Bermuda-based reinsurance company Ariel Re helped to clean up Southlands Park and Beach in support of Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB], one of the island’s environmental non-profit organizations.

The 15 volunteers – including Chief Executive Officer Ryan Mather – cleared approximately 600 pounds of trash from trails and abandoned buildings, as well as from the beach and parking area. The clean-up day was part of Ariel Re’s commitment to supporting good causes in Bermuda and giving back to the local community.

“We are immensely privileged to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world,” said Sophia Smethurst of the Ariel Re Charity Committee, who organized the clean-up. “Ariel Re is delighted to help groups such as KBB who do a wonderful job in trying to keep our paradise island in pristine condition.”

“We had a lot of fun with the Ariel Re team and thank everyone for their tremendous efforts,” said KBB’s Executive Director, Traci Burgess. “We love our corporate partners and appreciate all they do to give back to Bermuda.”

The Ariel Re members of staff who took part were: JayLynn Hines, Giovanni Hollis, Rebecca Hurdle, Alison Hyland, Sophia Marshall, Ryan Mather, Carolina Medeiros, Mark Pickett, Neil Pohlman, Joel Willens, Morgan Siese, Sarah Skinner, Sophia Smethurst, Camryn Swan and Lauren Way.
