Police: Sale Of Unusable Cellphones
The Bermuda Police Service said they have “received complaints surrounding the sale of cellphones on the island, which are unable to be activated with local carriers.”
A police spokesperson said, “We are appealing to anyone, who may have recently purchased a cellphone, in particular, Apple devices and have not been able to activate the device, due to it being blocked by a U.S. cellphone carrier, to contact Sgt. Joanne Raposo of the Criminal Investigation Unit 247-1360 / 717-2421 or jraposo@bps.bm.”
