Old Tug Boats Leave Bermuda For Trinidad
The old tug boats Powerful and Faithful departed Bermuda on January 21st, heading to the Bahamas before reaching their final destination of Trinidad.
A spokesperson said, “In September 2020, Bermuda took delivery of two new Lloyds classed Azimuth Stern Drive [ASD] tugs. ASD tugs equipped with two stern engines capable of generating a 360°, all directional propulsion force.
“The old Powerful and Faithful were retired from active duty in March 2021 after more than 32 years of service. The old Powerful and Faithful departed Bermuda for their final destination of Trinidad on Saturday January 21st with a planned stop in the Bahamas. The sale of the old tugs was secured in October 2022.”
