Photos & Videos: P.A.L.S. Walk Gets Underway
The 35th annual P.A.L.S. Walk is being held this morning [Feb 26] and despite the less than inviting weather conditions, hundreds of people are taking part, with many carrying umbrellas and wearing raincoats as they walk for charity.
The event — sponsored by Clarien Bank, CG Insurance and Butterfield & Vallis — helps to raise money to support patient cancer care in Bermuda.
Colleen English De Grilla, P.A.L.S. executive director, previously said, “This is one of our biggest fundraisers. We continue to rely on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and events such as this.” She added they “never charge a patient or their family for any of our services” and “there are more than 300 new cancer diagnoses annually in Bermuda. We need your support.”
