Cechini Breaks Two Records In Championships
The final day of the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s Short Course Swimming Championships at the BASA Pool, with two Bermuda records in men’s 15 – 16 age group broken by Harbour Amateur Swim Club’s Thomas Cechini.
During the 15 & over 800 SC meter freestyle Cechini touched the wall in a time of 8:47.36, breaking Jason Mastalir’s record of 8:49.85 set back on November 10th 2007. Cechini then broke the boys 15 & over 1500 SC meter freestyle record touching the wall in a time of 16:33.68, which broke Brian Desmond’s record time of 16:38.38 set back on March 12th, 2020.
