Pacers Win 14 Medals At Armory Championships
The Bermuda Pacers Track Club captured a total of 14 medals at the 2023 Armory Youth Championships in New York.
Cameron Adkins and Anthony Harkness both won gold medals, Adkins won the 13-14 boy’s mile clocking a time of 5:00.78, while Harkness clocked 10:44.53 winning the 15–16 boy’s 3000m.
Riana Robinson won a silver medal during the 11-12 girls mile with a time of 6:24.86, Shayla Cann won a silver medal competing in the 17-18 Girls 400m Dash clocking a time of 59.37. Amaris Munya won a silver medal while competing in the 13-14 girls 400m clocking a time of 1:02.24, while Andre Hollinsid clocked a time of 25.00 winning the silver medal in the 13-14 boy’s 200m dash. Miles Outerbridge clocked a time of 6.87 earning a silver medal in the 15-16 boy’s 55m dash. J’auza James won silver medals in the 17-18 boy’s high jump and long jump. James leaped 1.65m in the high jump, and 5.79m in the long jump.
Cann won a bronze medal during the 17-18 girls 800m with a time of 2:20.36, Munya also won a bronze medal competing in the 13-14 girls 800m clocking a time of 2:29.74. I’Aura Golding won the bronze medal in the 17-18 girls 55m hurdles clocking 9.19. Hollinsid won the bronze medal during the 13-14 boy’s 55m Dash. Harkness won the 15-16 boy’s mile clocking a time of 5:13.53.
Jasmine Reid-Rubaine clocked 8.43 finishing 9th in the 11-12 girls 55m, J’Naz Richards was 5th in the 15-16 girls 55m dash with a time of 7.72. Reid-Rubaine was 12th in the 11-12 girls 200m dash clocking 29.84, while Richards was 14th in the 15-16 girls 200m dash clocking 28.33.
Golding was 8th in the 17-18 girls 200m dash clocking a time of 27.83, Outerbridge was 14th in the 15-16 boy’s 200m with a time of 25.21.
Azari Jones clocked a time of 1:04.06 finishing 5th in the 13-14 girls 400m dash, James was 4th in the 17-18 boy’s 400m clocking a time of 52.63, with Maximillian Reid finishing 17th in the same event clocking 57.62.
Riana Robinson clocked a time of 2:59.01 finishing 7th in the 11-12 girls 800m, Jones clocked 2:34.14 during the 13-14 girls 800m finishing 4th, Reid was 5th in the 17-18 boys 800m race clocking a time of 2:17.98, and Reid-Rubaine finished 4th in the 11-12 girls long jump with a top leap of 3.90m.
