Sancho Smith Named Athlete Of The Week
Bermuda’s Sancho Smith — who competes for Clayton State University — has been named Athlete of the Week by the Peach Belt Conference.
The Peach Belt Conference website said, “Smith has taken the D2 world by storm in his first two outdoor meets. The freshman from Warwick, Bermuda, won both of his 800m races. In the Savannah State Eye Opener, Sancho won the race with a time of 1:57.28 while finishing with a time of 1:55.88 at the Clark Atlanta Panther Invitational on Saturday. Sancho currently holds the third fastest time in the 800m with his showing at the Panther Invite.”
