Ball Hockey: Appleby & Positive Image Win
The Bermuda Ball Hockey Play-off’s are underway with a double header at the PCC Hockey Rink producing 14 goals.
Frontier 3 Appleby 5
In the opener, Appleby defeated Frontier 5 – 3 to take a 1 – 0 series lead.
Nathan Kowalski gave Frontier the lead, but Christopher Jackson and Matt Katzsch scored a goal each to give Appleby the lead.
Katzsch scored twice in the second period to complete his hat trick and increase Appleby’s lead to 4 – 1.
In the third period, Andrew Bonner, and Joel Neal scored a goal each for Frontier to pull within one, but Ryan Marshall restored Appleby’s two-goal lead as they hung on for the win.
Positive Image Dental 5 Liberty Mutual 1
In the nightcap, Positive Image Dental defeated Liberty Mutual 5 – 1 to take a 1 – 0 series lead.
Positive Image Dental would get four goals off the stick of Jonas Parker, and a single strike from Sam Viera, while Adam Fenos scored the lone goal for Liberty Mutual.
