Special Olympics Set To Hold Movie Fundraiser
Special Olympics Bermuda is inviting the community to their ‘Champions’ Movie Fundraiser on Sunday [May 28].
A spokesperson said, “With the 2023 Special Olympics World Games 22 days away, Special Olympics Bermuda invites the community to wind down the Bermuda Day holiday weekend with them at the ‘Champions’ Movie Fundraiser on Sunday, May 28 at The Media Lounge.
“The sports comedy, released in March, stars Woody Harrelson as a temperamental minor league coach who, after an arrest, must coach a team of players with intellectual disabilities as community service. Most fittingly, the plot centers around the preparation for a Special Olympics competition and also stars two SO North Carolina athletes.
“Info on the afternoon’s schedule and how to purchase tickets can be found in the flyer above. Seating is limited.
“An official announcement on Team Bermuda at the 2023 World Games in Berlin, Germany will be released in the coming days.”
