Video: BNV With PLP Candidate Mischa Fubler
Mischa Fubler — who will be the PLP’s candidate for the bye-election in Smith’s South on October 5th – is joining Bernews today [Sept 27] for the latest episode in the Bernews News & Views series.
The bye-election was called due to the resignation of Cole Simons, who has held the seat for over two decades, winning twice under the UBP and three times under the OBA, with winning percentages ranging from 63.24% to 73.84%.
I think the young man fubler, is a breath of fresh air. I would vote for him
Country does not need A Breath of fresh air. It needs accountability, transparency, economic growth bringing money into the country, an increased taxpayer base to afford the govt i.e. reduce the deficit. It needs someone who recognizes and lambasts the PLP for their record since they took over from the OBA. There needs to be truth from the ministers on which ministers, ministers family and ministers friends benefited financial from government money, policy and how. We all know some who have, but we need honesty. Politics needs to change, and Fubler is just more of the same failing PLP. Don’t just up your game PLP, change it, Bermuda is being destroyed.
“we need honesty”
We do, but I am not holding my breath.
It is so funny how these are the accusations levied against the PLP and Mischa. Nothing tangible. Just allegations used to fuel more allegations. How is Fubler more of the same failing PLP? What will the OBA do? What UBP/OBA politicians and families may have benefited from their positions? In fact what UBP/OBA politicians are still benefiting? Do we expect that simply because you or someone in your family is in politics you are forbidden any government contract? In a 21 mile, 60K island is that feasible? Why are these only issues under a PLP government>?
Thank you for realizing we need the accountability. the rest of your post is just deflection.
the man talked of discriminating granting status on basis of involvement in things like sporting events…that is discrimination … DISCRIMINATION is unacceptable and would open the country and us taxpayers up to large lawsuits.
He has not chastized practices that got us into this financial mess, therefore he either doesn’t understand, is blind or supports continuing them. IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE.
“DISCRIMINATION is unacceptable”
You mean like the “separate but equal” standard applied to civil partnerships and marriages in Bermuda?
The concept of “separate but equal” did not work in the U.S. in 19th century and it does not work in Bermuda in the 21st century.
We haven’t forgotten the universally hated TA form that was retained for nearly a year after it was necessary, for no other reason than to line the pockets of a certain IT company.
Just one example.
