Results: Premier & First Division Football
Footballers in both the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with the Young Men Social Club, Hamilton Parish, Devonshire Cougars, Devonshire Colts and Boulevard Blizzards all earning wins.
Premier Division
Young Men Social Club 3 – X-Roads 2
At the Police Field, Young Men Social Club edged X-Roads 3 – 2.
X-Roads took the lead in the fourth minute when Jaman Lottimore lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper and two defenders. Josh Hardtman drew Young Men Social Club level in the 23rd minute, scoring from close range. Hardtman then gave Young Men Social Club a 2 – 1 lead in the 33rd minute and they took the lead to the break.
In the 61st minute, X-Roads drew level when Rico Beek scored, but in stoppage time Giniko Butterfield scored the winner for Young Men Social Club.
Hamilton Parish 3 – Paget Lions 2
At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish defeated high-flying Paget Lions 3 – 2.
Kion Knights gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 18th minute, but Delray Rawlins equalized for the Paget Lions in the 27th minute. The teams went to the break level at 1 – 1.
Delray Rawlins gave the Paget Lions a 2 – 1 lead when he scored in the 65th minute, but three minutes later the score was leveled when Leroy Lewis found the back of the net for Hamilton Parish. Knights scored his second goal of the game, which proved to be the winner in the 70th minute.
Devonshire Cougars 6 – Somerset Trojans 2
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Cougars defeated the Somerset Trojans 6 – 2.
The Devonshire Cougars got two goals from Simeon Burrows and Domico Coddington, while also getting single strikes from Elisha Darrell and Demetre Daniels. The Somerset Trojans got single strikes from Jaz Ratteray Smith and Haile Eve.
First Division
Devonshire Colts 6 – St. David’s 2
At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts remained undefeated in the first division following their 6 – 2 win over St. David’s.
The Devonshire Colts got two goals from Keino Burch and Malahku Selassie in the first half as they took a 4 – 0 lead to the break. Sage Blair-Paynter and Jordan Saunders added a goal each in the second half for the Devonshire Colts, while Kieshen Bean scored both goals while making his St. David’s debut.
Boulevard Blazers 5 – Southampton Rangers 1
At the BAA Field, the Boulevard Blazers defeated the Southampton Rangers 5 – 1.
Shakii Pearman led the Boulevard Blazers with two goals, while Sanchey Grant, Ian Coke, and Kenyade McQueen all added a goal each for the winners, while Donte Brangman scored the lone goal for the Southampton Rangers.
