‘Stroke Of Genius’ Fundraiser On February 27
Friends of Hospice is set to host the family-friendly Stroke of Genius Extravaganza fundraiser on February 27th.
A spokesperson said, “Held at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI], the Stroke of Genius Extravaganza is a celebration of creativity for the whole family. Led by local artist, Heidi Louise Smith, participants will enjoy winter-themed arts and crafts, culminating in a unique collaborative painting experience.
“Funds raised from the day’s festivities will go towards the Friends of Hospice’s programmes which support those in hospice and palliative care along with their loved ones.
“Starting at 10am on Saturday, families will also take part in a scavenger hunt with prizes, slime making and other seasonal activities. The four-hour event will offer ample options for even the pickiest eater with a hot chocolate bar on offer along with s’mores and a comforting winter meal. Activities are tailored towards families with children between the ages of 4 and 12.”
Jennifer Mahoney, Executive Director of the Friends of Hospice, said, “We are so excited to be hosting the Stroke of Genius Extravaganza at BUEI this weekend. One of the cornerstones of our philosophy at Friends of Hospice is empowering patients at Agape House to create wonderful memories for the whole family. Our hope with this event is to encourage families to create a shared work of art that they can cherish along with special memories for years to come.”
The spokesperson said, “The Stroke of Genius Extravaganza is made possible with the generous support of D&J Construction and Lindo’s Group of Companies.
“Tickets can be purchased from PTIX at https://www.ptix.bm/Event/7663/Stroke-of-Genius until January 25th for $60 per person. Tickets are limited.”
