Having the details of the Order of Business for the House each week is really valuable. Thank you, Bernews.
Where is the revisions to the Landlord Tenant Act and Rent Control Act that were postponed last year?
After years of being kicked around various Government departments being reviewed they have been ready for HOA passing for quite some time.
What is the hold up?
Well, Minister Goggles has made it abundantly clear now that this government has absolutely no intention of listening to the public’s concerns about being dragged into full membership of CARICOM without their consent.
You can hear the disdain for those that disagree with her statements and opinions, because at this point that is all that has been put forward through her condescending tone throughout her ministerial statement. Made even more hilarious by the fact that she still hasn’t been able to provide a concrete list of pros and cons despite all the “consultation”.
That is not good governance, that is disingenuous authoritarianism and non-democracy in effect. We should all be outraged.
