Something here does not make sense to me.

The Bermuda College has lost “critical services such as the telephone network, the website, and email”, but instead of holding live lectures or seminars where technology only assists and live interpersonal interaction is key, the college is telling staff and students to work remotely. Why?

Nothing too hard to understand about this remote learning approach given the networking issues. One has to remember, that most colleges/schools have a lot of online instructional applications and learning management systems and with no internet at the school, students and lecturers would not be able to access these learning platforms where the bulk of the student assignments, learning resources, etc are populated.

Ok. Even assuming what you say to be true, do people not talk anymore? Part of the educational experience of college or university used to be talking with one another and trying to figure out the underlying rationale to what one is being taught.

Are we not teaching students to question and think anymore? Are we teaching them only to do as Big Brother says?
