Tennis Players Continue Competing In ITF Juniors
In the ITF World Junior Team Competition held in Santa Tecla, El Salvador, the Bermuda boys’ tennis team for the under 14 category continued their participation.
In their second outing, Bermuda was narrowly defeated by Puerto Rico with a score of 2 – 1.
Bermuda initially took the lead, 1 – 0, thanks to Chase McCrimmon’s victory over Jayden DaVila, winning in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
However, Puerto Rico equalized the score at 1 – 1 after Marco Perez won against Jaden Jones, also in straight sets, with scores of 6-3, 6-3.
The deciding factor of the match was the doubles event, where Bermuda’s duo, Jaden Jones and Dexter Snaith, were overcome by Amaury Blondet and Perez with scores of 6-2, 6-1.
