Noire Unveils Video Contest For Theatre Day
Noire Youth Theatre Company announced a video competition celebrating World Theatre Day, with submissions open until April 29 and winners announced in May.
A spokesperson said, “Happy World Theatre Day Bermuda! We will be celebrating all the way to May.
“Noire Youth Theatre Company invites youth to participate in a video competition. Age groups: 9-11; 12-14; 15-High School Graduation; Bermuda College students who have not reached their 23rd birthday. Teachers may also submit student creations in their classes. All schools will be notified.
“Submit a 2-minute video story with the theme: “This Is My World.” Acceptable genres are comedy, tragedy, fantasy, horror, satire, magic, musical theatre [dance, music, singing] biography, historical, crime, courtroom drama, spoken word, poetry, and animation. Schools may also submit video from Spring into the ARTS presentations.
“Listen in to “Teacher Talk” on Magic 102.7 on Thursday, March 28th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for more information.
“Prizes for each category include cash, Noire Membership and products, and opportunities to audition for upcoming productions for the year.
“Deadline for entries is April 29th. Winners will be revealed the week of May 13th.
