Traffic Notice For Ray Swan 8k Race
The Government issued a traffic notice for the Ray Swan 8k Race scheduled on Sunday, March 24.
A spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Ray Swan 8k Race will occur on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, between 8:00 am and 9:30 am. The following roads will be affected:
Race Routes:
“The 8k race commences at the West Pembroke School on North Shore Road. The participants continue along North Shore Road to the finish line at Shelly Bay Park.
Traffic Control:
“The running/walking race will commence on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, at 8:00 am and is expected to conclude by 9:30 am. There will be Road Marshals present to direct traffic and signage will be placed along the route.
Road Closures:
“There will be no road closures. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with race participants. The race route will be under the control of Road Marshals. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Road Marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event, please direct queries to the attention of the race representative, DonnaMae Arorash at #504-2111.
“In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorized to ‘Close-Off’ streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
