Musical Event To Honor Peter Tosh & Garnett Silk
Reggae Defenders is set to host a tribute event on April 19, celebrating reggae icons Peter Tosh and Garnett Silk.
A spokesperson said, “Reggae Defenders proudly announces a musical tribute event honouring the legacies of two iconic figures in reggae music: Peter Tosh and Garnett Silk. Set to take place on Friday, April 19, this event promises to be a celebration of their timeless contributions to the genre in the groundbreaking Uplift Venue, CBD dispensary.
“Peter Tosh, whose seminal hit “Legalize It” has become a global rallying cry for the decriminalisation of cannabis, will be commemorated alongside the legendary vocalist Garnett Silk. Both artists have left an indelible mark on reggae music and continue to inspire generations with their powerful lyrics and revolutionary spirit.
“The event will feature electrifying performances by Reggae Defenders’ artists and DJs, paying homage to the enduring influence of Tosh and Silk on the reggae landscape. Reggae Defender co-founders, Arijahknow Live Wires, Lava Ras will be among the featured Reggae Defender artistes with a special premiere performance by fellow co-founder Star 45.
