Abacus Appoints James Cornes & May Ramos
Abacus Ltd. has announced the appointment of James Cornes and May Ramos to the team as Account Managers.
A spokesperson said, “Abacus, a local full-service accounting firm offering a wide range of services, from bookkeeping to payroll services, has grown significantly since its inception in 2007. These new hires have been made to keep pace with the increase in business and demand that the firm has experienced as a result of its successes.
“Cornes, a certified CPA with a BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo, joins Abacus from Conyers, where he served as Accounts Managers. Prior to this, he was a Senior Analyst – Management Reporting at HSBC. In his role as Account Manager for Abacus, he is responsible for reviewing month-end reports to clients and troubleshooting more nuanced issues, along with working with clients on online banking solutions and supporting the bookkeeping team.
“Ramos joins the firm as Account Manager / Financial Solutions Consultant, working to ensure the financial health and integrity of her clients. She will be offering bookkeeping and analysis services as well as assistance in preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts. Previous employers include Sleek, Frontline Accounting and Mitsubishi Power. She is an accredited CPA and holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Batangas, where she graduated Cum Laude, and has obtained certifications in accounting software programmes QuickBooks and Xero.”
