Flora Of Bermuda Finishes Fourth In France
Racehorse Flora Of Bermuda finished an impressive fourth at the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville Racecourse in Deauville, France, on Sunday [August 4].
The three-year-old filly, owned by Bermuda Racing and ridden by Oisin Murphy, competed over six-and-a-half furlongs for the first time.
She was the best of the visiting horses in the group one race.
“A truly genuine filly, our three-year-old tried her heart out all the way to and beyond the line, finishing a head fourth at the post yet in the immediate strides beyond, she was already third,” Bermuda Racing reported.
Flora Of Bermuda is the daughter of Dark Angel, a prolific sire who won four of his nine races as a two-year-old, including the St Leger Yearling Stakes, Mill Reed Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes.
