Kaden Hopkins Wins Stage 3 In Guadeloupe
Bermuda cyclist Kaden Hopkins produced a superb display to win the third stage of the Tour of Guadeloupe yesterday [August 26], defeating over 100 cyclists to claim the victory.
Hopkins, competing for French team Vendee U, clinched a sprint-finish victory in the 162-kilometre stage from Baie-Mahault to Pointe-a-Pitre, winning a photo finish from Jeunesse Cycliste des Abymes team-mates Lionel Miny and Jules Lanclume.
The 24-year-old, who won two tour stages last year, came second in the prologue time-trial, eighth in stage one, 52nd in stage two, and has six more stages to continue his fine form.
He signed with the team in France back in 2022, and has picked up some of the language, with the Bermudian cyclist able to respond to multiple questions from the local press in French.
Well done, Kaden.
