Photos: Victor Scott Preschool Storybook Parade
Youngsters from Victor Scott Preschool in Pembroke brought their favourite book characters to life on Friday [November 1] as they participated in a Storybook Character Parade.
The event aimed to ignite a love for reading among children and inspire them through the magic of storytelling.
Over 40 preschool children and their families embraced the spirit of the parade, donning colourful costumes that transformed them into beloved literary figures.
From fairy-tale heroes to playful animal friends, the parade celebrated the joy of books and the power of imagination.
Among the characters the children dressed up as were The Gruffalo, The Lorax, Spider-Man, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and The Good Dinosaur.
Gladnora Ming, the preschool administrator who organised the event, expressed a strong commitment to promoting early literacy.
“I was very pleased with the turnout and the effort from our parents, putting together costumes, showing up to support their children, all to emphasise the importance of reading,” Ms Ming told Bernews. “We hope to do this again!”
