Rubber Tree Gathering On November 29
The Paget/Warwick HUB, a community group uniting local churches, schools, and clubs, will host a “Rubber Tree Gathering” on Friday [Nov 29], promoting peace and community unity for the festive season.
A spokesperson said, “The ‘Paget/Warwick HUB’ is a group of representatives from these Parishes, which have been collaborating over the past two years, with the goal of strengthening the community by proactively addressing societal challenges, including the cycle of violence. This collaborative HUB involves key reps from 3 Churches, 3 Clubs & 3 Schools in the Paget/Warwick area. [Bright Temple AME – Christ Church – Rehoboth Church of God; Paget F.C.- Warwick Workman’s- PHC; Paget Primary- Purvis Primary- Warwick Academy.]
“In promoting the spirit of Peace on Earth [& Island Neighbourhoods] Good Will to All… P/W HUB reps are joining the vendors who normally gather at the Rubber Tree from 5.30 pm on Fridays, to leverage the approaching Festive Season by promoting a sense of solidarity & ‘Community Unity’. This Rubber Tree Gathering will take place on Friday – 29/11/24 – from 5.30pm, with a Rain Date – Fri – 6/12/24].
“Residents are invited to bring along their chairs – if they wish – and join in the dialogue, good food on sale and neighbourly ambience.
“Residents are also invited to join the Cedar Hill Community in their Prayer Vigil which is scheduled to take place at the Cedar Hill Salvation Army on Saturday – 30/11/24 – at 4.30 pm.”
