CedarBridge Wins Football Championship Title

The highly anticipated clash between public high school rivals Berkeley Institute and CedarBridge Academy unfolded on November 30, 2024, in a thrilling finale that will be remembered as one of the most iconic matches in high school football history. For those who missed it, the contest was a showcase of extraordinary athleticism, unwavering determination, and breathtaking skill that kept fans captivated from the first whistle to the last.
From the opening kickoff, Berkeley Institute stamped their authority on the game, dominating possession and mounting relentless attacks that pinned CedarBridge deep in their own half. Midway through the first half, their efforts bore fruit. A spectacular free kick from outside the box thundered past CedarBridge goalkeeper Jahneel Maria, leaving the crowd in awe and putting Berkeley in the lead. As the halftime whistle blew, Berkeley appeared to have control of the match, while CedarBridge faced a daunting challenge to turn the tide.
The second half, however, marked a dramatic shift in the narrative. CedarBridge returned to the field with renewed vigor and determination, their energy palpable in every play. Their persistence paid off when Xave Smith delivered a perfectly executed corner kick, finding Amir Brangman, who soared above the defense to power a header into the net.
