Curley Four Goals Lead Griffins To Victory
Owen Curley scored four goals to lead the Griffins to a 4-2 victory over the Ravens in a field hockey match played in blustery conditions.
The Ravens opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Lucy Tucker scored a field goal. The Griffins responded quickly, equalizing in the 31st minute through Curley, who converted a penalty corner. Curley then gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead with his second goal just four minutes later.
The Ravens tied the score in the 43rd minute with a field goal from Meagan Troake. Curley completed his hat trick in the 53rd minute to put the Griffins back in front. He then sealed the victory with his fourth goal of the game in the 60th minute.
Curley’s performance was the difference in the match. The Griffins will look to build on this victory in their next match.
