A spokesperson previously said, “Dementia Bermuda, formally known as Action on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, is the chosen charity with all race proceeds going to the amazing work that they do for the Bermuda community.

Update 10.41am: Adam Prunty and Teresa Ruiz claimed victories in the men’s and women’s races in the Butterfield and Vallis 5K today.
Prunty completed the course in a time of 16min 21sec, with Seamus Fearon second in 17:45 and Philip Woollins third in 18:05.
Ruiz was the top women’s finisher in 19:52, with Stepanka Sprincova second in 20:28 and Rose-Anna Hoey third in 20:39.
In the competitive walk, Samuel Booth took top honours in 32:51, with Paul Hayward runner-up in 33:41 and Joseph Matthew third in 35:39.
Sandra O’Brien won the women’s contest in 37:43, with Nancy Andrews-Sousa second in 38:07.
Jake Smith won the Senior School race in 16:59, with Jasper Lau second in 19:35 and Tristan Petit third in 19:59.
Jaeda Grant claimed victory in the women’s race in 23:03, with Isis Tucker second in 26:00 and Jaylen Lewis third in 26:03.
