Waldron Claims Photo Finish Win At Hawthorne
Bermudian driver Kiwon Waldron continued his US harness pony racing campaign at Hawthorne Race Course in Chicago with a mixed bag of results across three races.
Waldron kicked off the evening with a bang, piloting Rockin The Jackpot to victory in the race 1 pace class. The pair battled neck and neck to the wire, ultimately securing a thrilling photo finish win in a time of 1:56&2.
However, fortunes took a turn in race 2. Taking the reins of Hs Remington in the trot class, Waldron and his charge couldn’t replicate the earlier success, finishing in 6th place with a time of 2:00&4.
The Bermudian rounded off his night in race 7, another pace class event. This time partnering with Betrothed, Waldron steered the horse to a respectable 4th place finish in 1:58&2.
