Notice Of Advanced Poll For Absent Or Incapacitated Voters Or Voters With Polling Duties

An advanced poll will be held on 10 and 11 February 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Mount Saint Agnes Academy School Hall, for electors for all constituencies who are:

[a] intending to be absent from Bermuda, or to travel to or from Bermuda, on polling day;

[b] election officials and other persons referred to in section 40[2A] of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978 [the Act];

[c] aged 65 years or over;

[d] incapacitated voters referred to in section 41 of the Act.

Advanced poll certificates for travellers are issued at the polling station. Travellers must come to the advanced poll with a hard copy of their confirmed travel arrangements.
Incapacitated voters should have a registered medical practitioner write them a letter of incapacity and send it to the Parliamentary Registrar at pro@gov.bm before the close of the said advanced poll.

In accordance with section 36[3] of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, every

Parliamentary elector whose name appears in the parliamentary register for a

Constituency in respect of which a contested parliamentary election is held shall, if he is

in employment, be entitled to receive from his employer without penalty sufficient time

off work on the polling day to enable him to travel to the election room and there record

his vote.
