After some serious turbulence over the last six months or so, Bermuda Pie Company [BPCo.] is back this week – with a new location, and a renewed drive to get their amazing burgers and pies forged into legend.

“It’s been a long six months, but we’re back! We’ve got the same delicious pies, our award-winning burgers, and some new menu items we can’t wait for you to try,” exclaims owner and head chef Kris Furbert.

“We’ve also made the move to Hamilton, which means it’s easier than ever to grab a pie or burger on the go. Plus, starting next month we’re rolling out a rotating pie feature, and a Weekly Burger Special, so there’s always something fresh to try.

“We will be adding one Pie Special at the beginning of each month. To find out what you’ll have to stay tuned to our social media. Every third week of the month you’ll be able to enjoy a Slap in the Chops – if you haven’t tried it before you’re missing out.”

Kris is rightfully excited about this new beginning, and is adamant that once you try the delightful ‘Slap in the Chops’ pie, “You’ll be lining up for a Slap every month.

“It’s been our most requested pie since we closed in October. It’s a lamb pie, filled with tender cuts of lamb meat nestled in a rich, soul-warming, lightly curried stew. And as if that wasn’t enough, we slap a big ol’ bone-in lamb chop in it, with the bone sticking out the side of the pie. There will also be some new and interesting pie flavours that I’ve had on the backburner for a while.”

Having earned the prestigious Best of Bermuda Award in 2024 for their hamburgers, the BPCo. is poised to maintain that crown for many years to come – especially with their more central new location.

“Being in St. Georges meant the news that our burgers were ‘well’ took a while to reach the rest of the island. So, everyone knows the burgers are already great, but imagine a new, next-level burger dropping every week. That’s exactly what we’re bringing to Bermuda Pie Company. Our Weekly Burger Special is where we get a chance to be creative and put together some unique and, some might say, bold combinations that you won’t find anywhere else on this island.

“There’s just one catch with the burger and pie specials. Once they’re gone, that’s it. They’ll only be available for a limited time – so make sure to grab yours while you can!”

If you are a burger and pie connoisseur, you’d be wise to follow BPCo. on social media to keep abreast of their weekly specials. Also, send them an email at hello@bermudapiecompany.com if you’d like to be added to their mailing list and get a heads-up on their weekly specials.

Now fulfilling orders from their new kitchen at 55 Court Street, Kris and the crew are thrilled for the opportunity to match the energy of the big city, and grow the BPCo. to levels they may never have reached when the eatery was located in St. George’s.

“Hamilton gives us more foot traffic, a bigger customer base, and the opportunity to grow in ways we just couldn’t in St. George’s. We used to get approached by companies to do food orders that we weren’t able to accommodate previously – due to us being so far from the city, but that’s no longer an issue now that we’re right in the heart of Hamilton.”

The new shop will be cashless, so you’ll need a debit or credit card to get your pie fix. Kris promises that all your favorites will be on offer, plus a few surprises. As always, you can expect stellar customer service, innovative specials, and fun when you visit BPCo. And for those folks who’ve never experienced BPCo., you’re in for a treat!

“Hamilton moves fast, and so do we. I’m excited to introduce more people to the best pies and burgers in Bermuda, connect with our customers daily, and bring that same quality and passion to a whole new crowd.

“The city gives us the chance to innovate, grow, and be part of something bigger. It’ll also be fun to introduce everyone to our card game, where they get to play for a chance to win a free meal – which will hopefully put a smile on everyone’s face. May the odds ever be in your favor.”

The team is already busy serving their new community, but there will also be a Grand Opening on April 12 – a date which will mark the restaurant’s 7-year anniversary from when they first opened in St. Georges. Patrons will get chances to win prizes throughout the day during the Grand Opening, and folks who make their way to the shop will find some very special offers to indulge in – just for showing up!
