Mr Simons was selected to attend the Seminar by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Mr Simons reflects on the experience, saying: “I thoroughly enjoyed attending the Seminar. Seeing the new Parliamentarians eager to serve their people to the best of their ability is inspiring. It reminded me of when I first won my seat in Smith’s over 25 years ago. I loved seeing the untarnished glint in their eyes, coupled with the passion to improve their community. It was a very insightful and rewarding three days.

“It was rewarding to see such brilliant minds coming together. We all had such a good time. It is my wish that one day Bermudians can work with Anguillans if the opportunity arises.”

Also joining Mr Simons were delegates from Jamaica, the Isle of Man and Jersey.”
