Tennis: Trey Mallory Helps University Win
UNC Wilmington [UNCW] men’s tennis celebrated senior day in style, with Trey Mallory and his teammates securing a 7-0 victory over the College of Charleston at UNCW Courts.
Mallory featured in the doubles competition, teaming up with Alex de Gabriele in the number 2 spot. The duo faced a challenging start, falling behind 4-3 to Matias Gaedechens and JD Rojas Mora. However, the match was halted as UNCW secured the doubles point by winning on the other courts.
In singles action, Mallory displayed his dominance. Playing in the number 5 spot, he cruised to a convincing 6-3, 6-2 victory over Mora. This singles win extended UNCW’s lead to 3-0, contributing significantly to the team’s overall success.
