Trio Shine At Citrus League HS Championship
Bermudian athletes Miles Outerbridge, Arima Turner, and Ellise Dickinson — who all compete for Montverde Academy — each earned podium finishes in all of their events at the Citrus League High School Championship held at Lake Highland Prep in Orlando.
Outerbridge won the 100-meter dash in 10.87 seconds, and also took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.11 seconds.
Turner finished third in both the girls’ 100-meter dash [12.47 seconds] and the girls’ 200-meter dash [25.86 seconds].
Dickinson placed third in the girls’ 400-meter dash, clocking in at 58.66 seconds.
In relay events, Outerbridge ran the second leg for the Montverde Academy boys’ 4×400-meter relay team, which finished first in 3:31.87. Dickinson ran the opening leg and Turner the second leg for the Montverde Academy girls’ 4×400-meter relay team, which also won their event in 3:57.39.
