Police Confirm Death Of Gladwyn Anderson

The police have confirmed the death of 71-year-old Gladwyn Anderson, marking the fourth road fatality of the year.

A police spokesperson said, “Sadly, the Bermuda Police Service can now confirm Bermuda’s fourth road fatality of 2025, 71-year-old Gladwyn Anderson, and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

“Mr. Anderson was the driver of a car involved in a collision with a Department of Public Transportation bus around 2,00pm on Monday, 12th May 2025 on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, in the vicinity of East Point Lane, near the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.

“Results of a recent autopsy verified that Mr. Anderson died as a result of this collision.

“Apparently several passengers on the bus involved were treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and later discharged.

“Constable Gregory White of the Roads Policing Unit continues the investigation regarding this road fatality. Once again, anyone with relevant information that has not already come forward can call 717-2226 or email gwhite@bps.bm.”
