The Bermuda Diabetes Association has welcomed two new faces to its team, with the hiring of Francesca Wyatt as marketing and community relations coordinator and Jolie Davis as a summer intern.

“A supporter of internships, the Bermuda Diabetes Association is also pleased to welcome Jolie Davis, a Neuroscience student at the University of Manchester who plans to pursue graduate-entry medicine. During her internship, Jolie will assist with data analysis projects, shadow our health professionals, and contribute to the Association’s community outreach efforts.”
Lori Rockhead, executive director of the Bermuda Diabetes Association, said, “To welcome not one, but two enthusiastic new faces is real boost to our team and mission. This year, we’re focused on expanding our diabetes programs including workshops on mental health and managing the challenges of type 1 diabetes, health screenings for prediabetes and continuing professional development for health practitioners, while also promoting our BDA Community Pharmacy, a valuable resource open to the public, not just those living with diabetes.
“With Francesca’s wealth of experience in marketing, public relations and social media, and Jolie’s fantastic get-up-and-go attitude, we’re looking forward to strengthening our outreach and building deeper connections within the community.”
Francesca Wyatt added, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Bermuda Diabetes Association and contributing to the incredible impact it’s making across the island. It’s an exciting opportunity to combine my passion for communications with a cause that truly matters, empowering individuals with the tools and knowledge to take charge of their health. Watch this space, we’ve got lots of exciting activity coming up.”
