Cancer Centre Announce Leadership Transition
Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre announced a leadership transition, with CEO Lynne Woolridge set to retire, Dr. Chris Fosker appointed as Designate CEO and Medical Director and Katrina Darrell to step into the newly established position of Chief Operations Officer.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, Bermuda’s leading cancer organisation, is announcing a leadership transition as CEO Lynne Woolridge will be retiring after six years of dedicated service. Under Lynne’s leadership, the Centre has made significant strides in cancer prevention, early detection, radiation therapy, and comprehensive patient care.”
“It has been a privilege to serve as CEO of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and work alongside an extraordinary team,” said Lynne Woolridge. “I am confident that our new management team will continue to drive the Centre’s mission and expand our impact in the community.”
A spokesperson added, “Effective November 1, 2024, Dr Chris Fosker, currently serving as the Medical Director, will assume the dual role of Designate CEO and Medical Director. Dr Fosker brings a wealth of expertise in clinical care, and this transition marks a natural progression in the Centre’s leadership, ensuring continued alignment between clinical and operational excellence.”
Dr Fosker commented, “I am honoured to take on this new role and continue building on the strong foundation that Lynne has established. Our focus remains on delivering the highest quality of care to our patients, while advancing our strategic goals to improve cancer outcomes for Bermuda’s residents.”
A spokesperson added, “Katrina Darrell, currently Chief Administrative and Compliance Officer, will step into the newly established position of Chief Operations Officer [COO] effective November 1, 2024. Katrina brings over 15 years of leadership experience, having overseen critical areas such as Risk Management, Compliance, Information Technology, and Facilities. Her extensive background in operational excellence and regulatory compliance will be instrumental in driving the Centre’s continued success.”

A spokesperson added, “Lynne Woolridge’s retirement will take effect on March 31, 2025, following a five-month transition period to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.”
