Two Vehicle Collision In Sandys
[Updated] A collision involving two motorcycles occurred on East Shore Road in Sandys parish yesterday [July 26].
A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:20pm Saturday, 26th July 2025, a reported two vehicle collision occurred on East Shore Road in Sandys parish.
“Apparently involving a car and a motorcycle.
“Traffic is currently being diverted along Somerset Road and Scotts Hill Road.
“Inquiries underway.
“An update is anticipated when more information becomes available.”
Update July 28, 2.50pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:20pm Saturday, 26th July 2025, a reported two vehicle collision occurred on East Shore Road in Sandys parish.
“It now appears that a motorcyclist, understood to be a 60-year-old Sandys parish man, travelling along East Shore Road collided with a parked car.
“Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded.
“Apparently the rider sustained head as well as facial injuries and was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. At last check, he remained hospitalised.
“Traffic in the area was diverted along Somerset Road and Scotts Hill Road for approximately two and a half hours, while the scene was processed.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to call 211.”
