The Bermuda Ball Hockey Association [BBHA] said they are “proud to announce a delicious way to give back to the community.”

A spokesperson said, “During this year’s ISBHF Men’s Masters World Ball Hockey Championship — running November 11–16 at the Pembroke Community Center hockey rink — local charities will be taking over the food stall to raise funds for their causes.

“Each day, a different charity will run the booth, serving up great food and even better community spirit. Here’s the lineup:

  • November 11: Duke of Edinburgh
  • November 12: Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning [BCCL]
  • November 13 & 15: Planet Math
  • November 14: CedarBridge Academy Graduate Committee

“Each group will be flipping burgers, grilling dogs, serving veggie options, chips, and soda — all while competing to raise the most money for their cause. The charity that brings in the biggest haul will win a $1,000 donation from the BBHA!

“And because community is at the heart of it all, the BBHA will cover all underlying food costs, ensuring that 100% of the sales proceeds go directly to the charities. The delicious eats are generously provided by Pronto and Crow Lane Bakery, so you know it’s going to be good.

“For those looking to enjoy a cold one while cheering from the stands, Goslings will be running a beer garden throughout the tournament.

“Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to come out, support the hockey action, and help these incredible charities make a difference. It’s hockey, it’s food, it’s friendly competition — and it’s all for a great cause.
