A spokesperson said, “This past quarter delivered a mix of encouraging growth and unavoidable weather-related challenges for Bermuda’s tourism industry. Air capacity increased by 2.2%, boosting the island’s overall seat availability during the summer period, and hotels continued to perform strongly with ADR up 13.8% and RevPAR up 9.3%.

“The Canadian market also remained a standout performer, with arrivals up 21.8% in Q3 compared with last year. Visitors spent more on average too, with per-person leisure spending rising 5%.

“However, the active hurricane season—particularly Hurricanes Erin and Humberto—had a measurable impact. Weather disruptions contributed to softer leisure air arrivals [–6.3%] and the diversion of approximately 20,000 potential cruise visitors following six storm-related cancellations. Despite these setbacks, year-to-date performance remains stable.”
