Football: Colts, Rangers & Wolves Win
A total of 19 goals were scored across five matches in Bermuda’s Premier and First Divisions.
Premier Division
Devonshire Colts 5, X-Road’s 2
Senoj Mitchell recorded a hat-trick to lead the Devonshire Colts to a 5-2 victory against X-Road’s at Lord’s in St. David’s, moving the Colts to the top of the Premier Division standings.
Mitchell opened the scoring in the second minute, and Elisha Darrell extended the lead seven minutes later. Mitchell scored his second goal in the 22nd minute for a 3-0 lead.
X-Road’s benefited from an own goal in the 34th minute, making the score 3-1 at halftime.
Krishun Douglas brought X-Road’s within one goal in the 68th minute, but Jahzardae Samuels restored the two-goal advantage for the Colts in the 83rd. Mitchell completed his hat-trick one minute into stoppage time.
Young Men Social Club 2, St. George’s Colts 2
At the Police Field, Young Men Social Club and St. George’s Colts played to a 2-2 draw.
Zeiko Lewis put Social Club ahead in the 36th minute. Jarazinho Bassett equalized for St. George’s in the 53rd minute.
Josh Hardtman regained the lead for Social Club 10 minutes later, but Malachi Trott scored for St. George’s in the 80th minute to ensure a share of the points.
Devonshire Cougars 2, PHC Zebras 2
Points were also shared at the Devonshire Recreation Club, where the Devonshire Cougars and PHC Zebras finished 2-2.
Enrique Russell gave the Zebras an early lead in the first minute. The Cougars responded with two goals, first from Kydan Browne in the 28th minute and then from Domico Coddington six minutes later to take the lead.
Chance Eve scored for PHC just before the half-time whistle, and a scoreless second half left the match level.
First Division
Southampton Rangers 2, Vasco 1
Southampton Rangers remained unbeaten with a 2-1 win over Vasco at Police Field.
Anthony Rocker scored for Rangers in the 15th minute with a 25-yard free kick. Lucas Da Silva Marcal answered for Vasco with a 25-yard free kick of his own in the 26th minute.
Dominique Hill secured the victory for Rangers with a strike from outside the box in the 62nd minute.
Wolves 1, St. David’s 0
Wolves secured their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over St. David’s at Lord’s.
Following a scoreless first half, Kyle Brangman scored the match’s only goal for Wolves in the 84th minute.
