Top Golfers Set For 2025 PGA Tour Event

Bermudian golfers Will Haddrell, Kenny Leseur, and Oliver Betschart will take on top international talent at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which begins tomorrow [November 13] at Port Royal Golf Course.

The trio earned the three local exemption spots last month at the PGA Tour event’s local qualifier, also held at Port Royal.

Haddrell claimed victory in the two-round qualifier with a two-over-par 73, finishing on 144. Leseur was runner-up at 146, while Betschart secured third place with 147.

A 120-player field will compete for valuable FedEx Cup points over the next four days, as many players aim to secure a top-100 ranking to earn PGA Tour cards for next year.

The tournament carries $6 million in prize money, with the winner set to take home $1.08 million.

Notable past champions expected in the field include Puerto Rico’s Raphael Campos [2004], Colombia’s Camilo Villegas [2003], and Ireland’s Seamus Power [2002].

Other players to look out for include Englishman Danny Willett, the 2016 Masters champion, American Michael Brennan, the winner of the Bank of Utah Championship last month, and American Sam Stevens, runner-up at the Texas Open in 2023, the Wichita Open in 2024, and the Farmers Insurance Open this year.
