A doubleheader in the Bermuda ball hockey league at the PCC Hockey Rink yielded 22 total goals, with both Positive Image Dental and Hamilton Princess claiming victories.

Positive Image Dental 8, Spine & Sport 6

Positive Image Dental defeated Spine & Sport 8-6 in the evening’s opening contest.

The first period concluded with a 1-1 tie, featuring goals from Kevin Albrecht of Positive Image Dental and Christopher Merritt of Spine & Sport.

The offensive pace accelerated significantly in the second period, with Positive Image Dental scoring five goals and Spine & Sport adding two. Positive Image Dental took control with two goals from Josh Prodger, a second marker from Albrecht, and a goal by Satish Balendran. Merritt completed a second-period hat-trick for Spine & Sport to keep the game close.

Merritt tallied his fourth goal in the third period, alongside strikes from Greg Van Der Made and Rob Osborne for Spine & Sport. However, a quick double from Albrecht and a final goal from Louis Sujir secured the 8-6 victory for Positive Image Dental. Albrecht finished as the game’s top scorer with four goals.

Hamilton Princess 5, ACT 3

The second contest saw Hamilton Princess defeat ACT 5-3.

Hamilton Princess took an early first-period lead with goals from Jeremie Faucher and Mathew Benson. ACT responded in the second period with goals from Shane Matchett and Townie Jackson.

Mathew Benson then scored three consecutive goals in the second period, completing his total of four for the game and giving Hamilton Princess a dominant 5-2 lead.

Townie Jackson scored his second goal for ACT in the third period, but it proved insufficient to overcome the deficit, leaving the final score 5-3 in favor of Hamilton Princess.
