Kenni Thompson To Face City In Cup Tie
Footballer Kenni Thompson’s AFC Bournemouth will face Women’s Super League side Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round on Sunday [January 18].
The match will be staged at Snows Stadium, home of AFC Totton.
Bournemouth explored the option of hosting the tie at the Vitality Stadium but decided against it to protect the pitch during the winter months.
Ringwood Town, the regular home venue for Bournemouth’s women’s team, was unable to meet the criteria set by the FA for a fourth-round fixture.
Thompson, a Bermuda women’s national team winger, has been in impressive form this season.
City are top of the WSL with 30 points from 11 matches.
