Midshipman Richard Dale Service On Feb 28th
A commemorative service for Midshipman Richard Sutherland Dale will be held in King’s Square, St. George’s on February 28 at 5.00pm, followed by a wreath-laying at St. Peter’s Church.
A spokesperson said, “The Annual Commemorative Service of the death of Midshipman Richard Sutherland Dale, USN, January 5th, 1795 – February 22nd, 1815, takes place in King’s Square, St. George’s on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., followed by the laying of wreaths at his grave in St. Peter’s Church graveyard.
“Hosted by The Friends of St Peter’s Church, the service is a reminder of the friendship between Great Britain and the United States, and will be attended by the Governor of Bermuda, the Mayor of St George and the US Consul General.”
