Cycling: Narraway & Hopkins Claim ITT Top 10
Bermuda’s elite men delivered strong performances in the Individual Time Trial at the 2026 Pan American Road Cycling Championships in Montería, with both riders finishing in the top 10 against a highly competitive continental field.
A spokesperson said, “Nicholas Narraway placed 7th, recording a time of 51:23, in a ride that demonstrated both pace and resilience. Narraway was tracking in approximately 5th position before suffering a mid-race puncture. Following a wheel change, he completed the remainder of the course with brake rub affecting his effort.
“Kaden Hopkins finished 9th, marking an impressive return to competition just one month after sustaining a collarbone fracture. His performance reflects both determination and a strong level of conditioning early in the season.
“The result marks a step forward for Bermuda, with two riders placing inside the top 10 in the Americas at a UCI-sanctioned continental championship.
“Racing continues this weekend with the Elite Women Road Race scheduled for Saturday and the Elite Men Road Race scheduled for Sunday.”
