Football: BFA Names Squad For Match vs Congo

[Updated] The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has announced its squad for the March 25 international friendly against the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Guadalajara.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] is delighted to announce the team that will play the Democratic Republic of the Congo in an international friendly:

Goalkeepers: Nathaniel Swan, Jaquil Hill, Milai Perott.

Defenders: Julian Carpenter, Deniche Hill, Logan Jimenez, Harry Twite, Brighton Morrison, Daniel Cook, Kieron Richardson.

Midfielders: Riley Robinson, Ne-Jai Tucker, Roger Lee, Aunde Todd, Senoj Mitchell, La Zai Outerbridge, Amir Dill.

Forwards: Zeiko Lewis, Joshua Joseph, David Jones, Elisha Darrell, Ajani Burchall.”

Technical Development Director Maurice Lowe was upbeat when commenting: “The opportunity to play DR Congo is an important step in our development. They are ranked 48th in the FIFA world rankings and are preparing for a World Cup intercontinental play-off match against the winner of Jamaica and New Caledonia. We have assembled a team of local and overseas-based players who want to be a part of the Nations League in the fall.”

A spokesperson added, “Maurice will be assisted by Jake Littlejohn and Farid El Karfa. The match kicks off at 6 pm Bermuda time on 25th March 2026 in Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara.”

Update March 21, 4.15pm: A spokesperson said, “There are some updates to the Senior Men’s team traveling to Mexico.

“Deniche Hill has advised he is not available due to club commitments.

“Dante’ Leverock also advised he is not available due to work commitments.

“Arnezha Astwood has been added to the traveling team.”
